HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACES (HMI’S) IN AUCKLAND
A human-machine interface or HMI for short is a device that allows visual interaction between an operator and the machine or process its installed for. HMI’s need to be programmed for the particular job it needs to complete. This can be anything from basic buttons that start and stop a process upto advanced diagnostic and fault logging of the machine.
At Cole Power we are able to configure many HMI’s to allow easy interface between your machinery and your operators. We can even set multi level access to the HMI. This means that operators can be granted access to the functions they require and managers or technicians can access more in depth functions and technical details of the machine.
HMI’s can be applied to many industrial applications, but they are very useful in process industries such as oil and gas, mining, cement plants, print and finishing equipment, and others due to the information that can be had on-demand and useful diagnostic for field staff.
